Mozalarm
1. The short version
Mozalarm is designed to keep your mornings private by default. The app does not require an account, does not upload camera frames, and does not sell or share information with third parties.
- No sign-up, no login, no tracking profile.
- No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs.
- Alarms, sounds, and wake-check results stay on your iPhone.
2. Information we don’t collect
Mozalarm does not collect, store, or transmit personal information such as your name, email, phone number, address, contacts, location history, health data, financial data, or browsing history to our servers. We do not operate a backend that receives your alarms, camera frames, or challenge results.
3. Camera access
If you enable Face Awake, Morning Light, or Morning Focus, Mozalarm asks for camera permission so it can confirm wakefulness, ambient brightness, or eye gaze on this iPhone. Frames are processed in memory for the challenge and are not saved to Photos, not written into the app’s storage, and not uploaded.
You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings. Challenges that need the camera will be unavailable until permission is granted again.
4. Motion & Fitness
The Steps challenge uses Motion & Fitness (Core Motion) to count steps on this device. Step counts are used only to complete the challenge and are not sent anywhere. You can revoke this permission in iOS Settings.
5. Music library
If you create a custom alarm sound, Mozalarm asks for access to your music library so you can pick a track, optionally trim it, and store a local copy for playback. That copy stays on this iPhone and is removed if you delete the sound or uninstall the app.
6. Information stored on your device
The app stores alarms, labels, repeat days, sound choices, custom clips, wake-challenge settings, and appearance preferences locally. AlarmKit may also keep scheduled wake-ups with the system so they can appear on the Lock Screen.
This data does not leave the device and is removed when the app is uninstalled.
7. Children’s privacy
Mozalarm is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
Because Mozalarm does not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal dataset of yours for us to breach. Local data on your device is protected by your device’s standard security model, including iOS Data Protection.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in the app or in legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
